Flexi heater element or coil heater is an element with an approximate diameter of 4 x 2 mm, which is placed spirally inside a plastic injection nozzle and is used to heat and inject materials such as plastic, glue and resin.

This element is made of very soft and flexible steel casing and inside it is nickel-chrome resistance wire with refractory soil.

Flexi heater element is produced in two types:

Simple flexi heater element

In this type, the element has only the task of producing heat and has three wires:

• one phase wire
• one neutral wire
• one yellow wire as earth

Flexi heater element with thermocouple

In addition to producing heat, this type also measures the temperature of the element sheath, which is due to the presence of a thermocouple inside the sheath.

The coil heater element with thermocouple is produced in two types K and J and depending on the application, it has length and different temperature range.

This type of element has five wires:

• Two wires of the same color for power flow
• One yellow wire for earth
• Two wires with standard colors to connect to controller or temperature display
